RULES FOR BATTLING
When it comes to battling, we do not police who you can battle and how it can be done. We do have a set limit to how many moves can be used each turn. Below are the many ways a turn can be used.
If your pokemon faints that does not penalize you a move. This means your pokemon can faint and be replaced with a pokemon using two moves (or any of the above options listed above). If you choose to have your pokemon use a move before fainting, it still counts as a move made leaving you with only one move left that turn.
You can battle whoever you want, whenever you want. We only ask you to keep it in a linear format. For example: Pokemon X started battling a wild pokemon in his trainer’s journey thread, Pokemon X is used in a battle against a trainer in a different thread at the same time. Any levels, moves, or evolutions earned in the journey thread cannot be applied to him in the other thread since he entered the second thread before the first battle was over.
You can only have one route thread per character at any given time. Until you have finished traveling (aka battled twice in the thread resulting in a wild pokemon capture or the fainting of one), you can only freely roleplay in areas you have been granted access before. There’s no limit to how many threads you can make aside from the current journey thread so go wild!
When including a pokemon in your posts, please include the following:
You can format it however you want and even add extras about your pokemon such as quirks and personality. This is to avoid people adding levels and extra moves in the middle of battles.
Wild pokemon will be a big chunk of your battling opponents in Kochi. Some might not be lovers, or fighters, and some may be a bit territorial and instigate a confrontation. It’s best to take wild pokemon encounters without expectations as each are different than the other. That said, you are always free to attempt a capture at any moment of your choosing. A few pokemon might be welcome to the idea of joining your team but some will need to be weakened to lessen the chances of them breaking free. You can also wait until the pokemon faints which guarantees a capture.
